Waimanalo beach is perfect for families looking to do a
little more than just lounge around. Haunama Bay and
Sea Life Park are just a short 15 minute drive away.

Breathtaking sunrises await you each day and offshore
Mokumanu island makes itself a permanent fixture on the
horizon. Waimanalo beach was also the backdrop for
the television series Baywatch Hawaii. There are
restroom facilities at Waimanalo Beach Park (Sherwoods)
and ample shade trees as well.
If you're looking to do not much more than lounge
around and play in the surf all day, then Waimanalo is the
place to be. It is a 10 minute drive to the closest
shopping center in Kailua town and you will find mostly
locals enjoying the beach. Waimanalo is also
home to the Honolulu Polo Club with its beautiful backdrop
of the Ko'olau Mountains.
How to get to Waimanalo: Taxis
are available at the airport. The cost is around $50. You
can also make arrangements in advance for an airport
shuttle. Rent-a-cars
